ABOUT

Nestor Flores is a game designer, digital artist, and animator.
 
Nestor was born in Easton, Maryland, and shortly after, his family moved to Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, where he resides.

Nestor has been passionate about drawing since the first grade, thanks to his great art teacher. Before then, he did not know how much enjoyment he took in drawing. Nestor was only seven then, but his art instructor's teachings laid the foundation for a passion he took seriously that year. And so, Nestor kept improving his skills as he grew up, learning new skills from his art teacher and himself through trial and error. Before, he could only draw stick figures in roughly shaped environments, but as he improved, he could draw more cartoonish characters (with a body and stomach, not just a straight line for a body) and better backgrounds with more smooth structures.
 
As his art continued evolving, Nestor grew the desire to see his drawings come to life through animation. This desire would soon lead him to make small 5-second animations for fun. It was initially a minor phase in his art, but it came back during the second half of Nestor's first year of High School, as one of his classes went over animation fundamentals. So it was there that his interest in animation was re-sparked. Then, like before, he learned and taught himself how to improve his animation skills with his drawing skills. Nestor then created longer animation clips and gifs. He even passed an exam about the interface of Toon Boom Harmony (an animation program) to be a certified associate of said program. Nestor takes a significant amount of self-reward whenever he finishes a drawing or animation, as they represent his creations made from an empty canvas.

He is currently studying at Carnegie Mellon University.
